The San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate's goal was to become a Chapter after operating as an Affiliate for three (3) years. The SF Affiliate Board and Leadership Team applied to become a Chapter in December 2022.
Early in 2023, HDSA Leadership and Board of Trustee's granted the status change to HDSA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
